Mission Statement

The Prime Directive (Mission) of the Port of Friday Harbor: “The Port of Friday Harbor shall strive to maintain a healthy economy with family wage jobs, and to improve the social, economic and natural enviroments of the island.”

The port Operates a 500 slip marina with 1500 feet of floating breakwater, international seaplane base and United States Customs Port of Entry. The Marina is host to 15,000 guest boats annually, lands 4500 seaplanes and clears 4500 vessels through U.S. Customs. During the 2008 season the Port saw 52,000 passengers from local Excursion Operators, Transportation Vesseles & Cruise Ships.

The Friday Harbor Airport is the 6th busiest in the State of Washington with a 3400′ runway, handling more than 58,000 operations annually. Carriers offer daily service to several other islands,  Anacortes,  Bay-View, Bellingham and Boeing Field.

Jackson Beach park is located 2 miles from the Washington State Ferry landing. It sports a 2 sided paved launch with a float in between. Restrooms are also provided.
