Q.How far is town?
A. A 6-minute walk from the transient parking area.

Q. Is there a mechanic on the field?
A. Yes, Sid Smith, A&P mechanic can be contacted at 378-6324.

Q. Where do I file my flight plan?
A. The hospitality house has a direct phone line to Seattle Flight Service Station.

Q. What are your noise abatement procedures?
A. See noise abatement procedures.

Q. What pattern does Friday Harbor use?
A. Friday Harbor uses RIGHT HAND traffic for 16/34.

Q. My aircraft will be parked in transient parking for more than 5 days, what do I do for discount?
A. Come to airport office and purchase a floaters permit for an extended stay.

Q. Is there an FBO on the field?
A. Aeronautical Services operates the fuel island, but we have no full FBO on the field.

Q. Do you supply ropes and chocks?
A. No. We recommend that you carry ropes and chocks. Friday Harbor Airport is located in a high wind area. Please make sure your aircraft is secured when you park.

Q. What are your auto parking rates?
A. $5.00 per day, $16.00 per week, $29.00 per month and $350.00 per year.

Q. Do you have hangars for rent?
A. No. Hangars are currently not available to rent. We have fifty-one Port managed hangars on the field. Permanent hangar rates run from $155 to $435. Contact airport office for details.

Q. Is there a ground transportation on the island?
A. Yes, there are car rentals at M and W Auto 360-378-2886

Shuttle buses run to Roche Harbor and around the island. There are also taxi services,

Q. How do I get to Friday Harbor?
A. Several options are available.
From Anacortes – Washington State Auto/Passenger Ferry 800-84FERRY
From downtown Seattle – Kenmore Air (floatplane) 800-543-9595
For Charters – Island Air 888-378-2376 or Westwind Aviation 378-6991

Passenger ferries run from Seattle via Victoria Clipper; from Port Townsend via Puget Sound Express; from Bellingham via Island Shuttle Express.
